Micah Taylor Arbour

February 28th, 2009

After a long hiatus from blogging, I’m pleased to announce my return with some very exciting news.

Micah Taylor Arbour was born at 12:47 PM on Thursday, February 26, 2009.  He weighed 7 lbs., 9 oz., and he was 20 and 1/2 inches long.  He came out blue like a smurf, but got plenty of color as soon as the doctors put him under the warmer.  Mom and baby are both healthy and happy.  We came home on Friday afternoon after the obligatory 24 waiting period, and now we are enjoying our time adjusting to life with three kiddos in the house.

Micah is named after the Old Testament prophet.  His middle name comes from Hudson Taylor, a missionary to China who decided to focus on those who had never heard of Jesus in the interior of the country (as opposed to the many who were working in coastal areas).

We are thankful to God for this addition to our family.  All praise to the Spirit, who is the Lord, the Giver of life, for this precious child.

P.S. - I’m having trouble posting pictures.  I’ll try to put some up ASAP.
